SKATE AMERICA
Skate America is an Olympic-style international figure skating event featuring three days of competition in ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing. The event, which is one of six annual events in the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix Series, annually attracts approximately 60 world-class figure skaters.
The 2014 Skate America will take place at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill. (suburban Chicago) from Oct. 24-26.
U.S. FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The United States Figure Skating Championships, held annually since 1914, is the nation's most prestigious figure skating event, crowning national champions in ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing in each of the senior, junior and novice divisions.
In addition to determining the U.S. champions, the event serves as the final step in determining the U.S. teams for the World Figure Skating Championships, World Junior Figure Skating Championships, Four Continents Figure Skating Championships and Olympic Winter Games.
The 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships will be held Jan. 18-25, 2015, in Greensboro, N.C.

Beginning in 2012, the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic is an annual international figure skating event which attracts some of the top senior level athletes in the sport. Held in Salt Lake City, Utah, the event serves, for many, as the opening to their international season. The competition is held at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex, which served as the official figure skating training venue for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
WORLD FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The World Figure Skating Championships is an annual competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU). This event is considered the most prestigious of the ISU championships. With the exception of the Olympic title, a world title is the highest competitive achievement in figure skating.
Skaters at the World Championships compete in the categories of ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing. The competition is generally held in March.
The 2015 World Figure Skating Championships will be held March 23-29, 2014 in Shanghai, China.
